Alsen Pride Lodge No. 253
Striving in Excellence, Serving with Pride.
Eighty years of legacy in Baton Rouge. A brotherhood built on Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. A lodge that shows up — mentoring young men, serving our neighbors, and carrying this craft forward for the next generation.
Building character. Empowering youth. Transforming community.
Alsen Pride Lodge No. 253 is a Prince Hall Masonic organization chartered in 1946. We build character through mentorship, empower youth through direct service, and transform our community through three core principles: Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
About the LodgeReorganized by nine transferring brothers.
After the charter was dormant from 1949–1998, Grand Master Ralph Slaughter reorganized the lodge in 1998 with nine transferring brothers from Twilight Lodge No. 166 — renewing a commitment to growth and visible service that continues today.

How to JoinEmpowering Our Youth
Every year, Alsen Pride Lodge No. 253 sponsors a complete prom experience for five East Baton Rouge Parish high school students. From formal attire to professional photoshoots, we ensure every student experiences this milestone moment — at zero cost to their families.
This is not charity. This is investment in young people's sense of dignity, possibility, and community belonging.
